Larry Pile is a self-taught artist and crafter who lives and works out of his Kessler Park, Dallas Texas "dream studio".

Creative all of his life, Larry has taken his love for glass to new levels, first as a stained/leaded glass artist and most recently, in fusing and kiln-casting glass in one of his four glass kilns.

Inspired by natural objects, form and color, Larry creates beautiful glass vessels, sculptural pieces and glass jewelry for his descriminating clientele.

Larry teaches glasswork, participates in 20-25 shows per year, shows work in 3 local galleries and has furniture and/or glass pieces in several major corporate collections. He is active in several local art/craft organizations and is also a heck of a nice guy.

Meet the Artist: tefi

Tefi is a one-woman handmade cottage industry based in my tiny home studio in Oak Cliff TX. I specialize in jewelry and accessories made with quality materials and craftsmanship. My items are created with love and rare designer, vintage, and import fabric, wool felt, and Ming Dynasty pottery shards. Many of the materials I use - fabric and pottery shards - are repurposed and upcycled.

Visit my Etsy shop today!

Professionally, I work as a grant writer and fundraiser for a non-profit serving homeless children and am committed to serving animals by donating a portion of profits to animal rescue groups. I founded and help lead Etsy Dallas and organize the Spring Bash and Jingle Bash - Dallas' leading art/crafts shows.

I live and work in the tight-knit artsy Dallas community of Oak Cliff with hubs Jason, son Ian, and dog Oliver. Other hobbies include: playing with my hilarious and precious two-year-old, Ian; watching BBC period pieces; rescuing lost or abandoned animals; organizing events and clubs (it's like an obsession); marketing and PR; and any kind of writing.

MY HANDMADE PHILOSOPHY
Handmade crafts are a testament to the people and times of a culture. When you buy handmade, you support your local artist community and your local economy - when you buy handmade, you buy American. You can be sure that the piece you bought was made with love by someone just like you - not made in a factory, assembled by robots.

While many artists and artisans price their items fairly, remember that they are offering you a piece of their talent - made with their hands. So the next time you get ready to buy a gift, choose handmade. Choose a gift from the hands and the heart. Can't wait to meet you on February 5th!

Hugs,
Stephanie a.k.a. "tefi"

Amy Sala - AmiCentric Designs - About The Artist

Amy Sala is third generation Oak Cliff, a small artistically diverse community south of downtown Dallas.

In the past, Amy has experimented with various artistic mediums. She is self-taught and has a natural gift. In 2005 she discovered her true passion, beading. Although her work is always evolving, her eye for design, use of color, and intense attention to detail is constant, making her jewelry beautiful pieces of wearable art.

Amy works with a variety of materials, which include semi-precious stones, pearls, crystals, exotic wood, shells and various glass beads. She recently began to incorporate chain, ribbon and leather into her pieces. Rarely will you see two pieces exactly alike. Her jewelry is versatile, delightful and eclectic.

She enjoys experimenting with unexpected combinations of materials and styles. By incorporating vintage pieces and unusual thrift store finds she fashions some of her more interesting work. Working one on one with a client allows her to create a custom piece that is truly their own, expressing their distinctive personality and unique style.

Throughout the years she has donated many pieces to non-profit organizations and fundraisers, including Shaken Baby Alliance and the Phoenix Project. She has shown solo at Salon On Bishop and alongside other talented local artists at The Wine Therapist and Chi Gallery.
